It really DOESN'T come with instructions! -

Well we are two weeks in to this gig and things are changing up. Just when you think things are going fine and on the straight and narrow, your youngster throws caution to the wind and mixes it up. Over all things are great! Tristan passed his two week evaluation with flying colors. Our midwife even said that Amber and I make great babies, and that we should make some more! There's more coming, but let's get this one good and ripe before we move on to the next.

Tristan continues to be a champion breast feeder, but now his sleep schedule is a little off kilter and we are trying to remedy the situation. It's hard when he's asleep in the afternoon and Amber is trying to catch up on the sleep that she didn't get the night before. We want to try to keep him awake during the day, but I've got work to focus on, even though it is only at the kitchen table.

I took Amber out to lunch on Thursday. We headed out to Trudy's for some of that great Tex Mex. Amber had a long awaited Mexican Martini. It was nice for Amber since she had to watch her carbs and couldn't drink the "adult beverages" during her pregnancy. Of course Tristan slept for most of the outing, but he's too young to really enjoy the Hondo Burrito!

Friday our very good friends the Gustafson's came over to the house. The newest editions to the Gustafson family is Carson Gustafson. He's 3 months old and was born in the same room as Tristan at the birthing center. Kathryn and Matt, Carson's parents, were nice enough to bring us some great BBQ. We had a nice dinner on the back deck enhanced with good beer and watermelon martini's. (Pictures Below)

This weekend my band played and Amber brought Tristan out for his first Band Named Sue show. He was a hit with the family and friends that had not made his acquaintance. . . . and once again he slept through most of it.

Sunday was Mother's day, so Tristan and I headed to the store first thing in the morning to get some flowers for Amber. I also picked out a cute card from Tristan and then one from myself. Later that afternoon we met up with the Franco's and extended family for a nice lunch at Jason's Deli. Happy belated Mother's day to all the moms out there. Have a great rest of the week!
