Another Wedding? -
So last weekend the whole fam, and I mean the WHOLE fam went to Dallas for a wedding. Tristan is 6 months this Saturday and has already been to three weddings. Crazy! I guess everyone really does want to be a June bride. I think we have another one just around the corner.
This particular wedding took place at the Dallas Arboretum. The wedding was for Troy Daniels and Carolyn Joe. The Daniels are family friends and I can remember when Troy was about 7 years old, running around at the lake making sure the everyone stayed clear of the boat traffic. The whole family including my sister's family came to the wedding. The Dallas Arboretum was so beautiful that it inspired many photo opportunities. Overall we had a great time and it was a lot of fun to get in the car and take a little vacation.

Tristan and Amber are both doing very well and Tristan continues to be an absolute joy. Being a father is pretty great. The other day Amber and I were at Target and they have all the father's day stuff up and I was thinking to myself that I was eligible for father's day presents for the first time. Of course I did make a rather large purchase at the Guitar Center that is adjacent to the Target . . . so I think that the Father Fairy came early this year.

People always ask if we are getting enough sleep . . . mostly people that already have children and are just checking to make sure that we are as sleep deprived as they were. I know that I get more sleep than Amber and I think that she is do a tremendous job with the feedings and I know that sometimes it's frustrating when Tristan gets fussy. But one thing that I've learned is that for all the years that the crying baby has been annoying . . . your baby crying doesn't evoke that same feeling. It's not that you tolerate it anymore, its just that you are more sympathetic. Amber says that she is learning Tristan's different cries and I think that is pretty amazing. She's usually right on the money, he needs to be changed, he wants to be held or he's hungery.

Tristan is also just starting to show expressions a little more. Every once in while you will catch a smile, which will just melt your heart. I'm really looking forward the days of smiles and giggles and excitement.
