Yankees and Hair Cuts -

Yesterday I took Tristan to get his first haircut. Now I'm sure that most people would say that a parent should just trim their baby's hair themselves, but we live in the 2000's and there is a convenient and cheap hair cutting place on every corner, why not make him look good!

He did a really great job of just sitting still and letting the stylist do her thing. Tristan really likes to have his head rubbed and hair combed so he was in heaven. He just sat on my lap like a perfect gentleman. He even held his chin to his chest while she cut the back (with a little help from his dad). Gabriela, the stylist, commented that most 2 year olds aren't that calm during a hair cut. I'll check back with her when he's two and see if he can sit still for 5 minutes!

The Yankees!

Tristan's cousin, Damek is playing T-Ball this season and his team is The Yankees. Amber and I took Tristan to the first game a few weeks ago. I was pretty impressed with all the kids on the team. Damek did a really good job of staying focused and even managed to score a run. The only issue that he has is that I'm not sure that he understands the urgency of getting from one base to another. Nicole, his mom, said that there was improvement last weekend, but it is quite possible that Damek will not be running the 100 yard dash professionally. The whole point is team work and team play and it's a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
